FileSphere provides functions to acquire electronic information directly from the file system. This allows an organisation to automate the capturing and classification of faxes and scanned documents in a central repository. It also allows for the conversion of paper documents to electronic form, reducing an organisations carbon footprint, providing a system of improved collaboration, retention and archival and the provision of an audit trail for the use of photocopy and printing devices.

Automated Information Capture
Information can be sent from a peripheral device to designated pickup folders on the file system, allowing it to be automatically classified and added to FileSphere.

History and Audit Trail
FileSphere can keep a record of network device activity for faxes, scanners, photocopies and printers, providing a fully documented history and audit trail of device use, assisting with network device planning, auditing and resource management.

Metadata Based Classification
Once information has been converted to electronic form and classified, it can be viewed and analysed based on the classifying characteristics. Information can be classified by device type and sorted by date to gain an understanding of device activity.

Enterprise Search
Provides comprehensive keyword search functionality allowing users to quickly search information for relevant to a particular keyword or phrase.

Enterprise Navigation
Users can organise their information into a personalised view based on information content, metadata and metadata values, dynamically organising their own information hierarchy and quickly navigating to the required information. Users no longer need to remember the names of files or their storage location to find information.
