What's New in FileSphere 2008?

The familiar interface now runs on Windows Vista and is integrated with Microsoft Office 2007 and Adobe Acrobat 8.0 Professional.

The Microsoft Office 2007 Add-In places FileSphere tools inside the
Office 2007 Ribbon and they can also be added to the Quick Access Toolbar.

Remote access over the web

If you’re at a remote location or FileSphere isn’t installed on your local desktop, you can still access and manage documents via a web browser interface provided by FileSphere WEB 2.0, a standard component of FileSphere Enterprise 2008.

New features

Two useful new features, Insert Field and Direct Email of Document Shortcuts, have been added  in FileSphere 2008.

Insert Field
This command, available in Microsoft Word, allows you to insert any FileSphere metadata element into a document as a field. Simply select Insert Field from the FileSphere menu and then select the metadata element you want to include in the document.

Direct email of document shortcuts
You no longer need to create document shortcuts locally, prior to emailing them. Just select Send To from the document menu and then Mail Recipient. In the Sending via Mail Recipient dialog box, click the Send to FileSphere User checkbox and then the Send document shortcut radio button.
